​In 2008 Melodie's Painting Instructor Carlos Cazares at Christ For The Nations Institute was vital in mentoring her eye and hand in Oil Canvas Painting.

In 1991 as a teen she painted her first work that was submitted for a town fair in New Braunfels Texas and was given a First Place Award.

" I have a deep love for the country and people of France, as my people, even though my parents are from the US.​

More than anything I am convinced the Lord has given me this talent to bridge artists to their loving Artist-Creator."
