   •    An interjection is:

   •    a word or phrase used mostly in speech to show emotion, gain attention, exclaim, protest, or command

   •    not grammatically related to any other part of a sentence

   •    typically:

   •    found at the beginning of a sentence

   •    followed by an exclamation mark or comma
